On a mission from … Day 5

Ah, the last mission post. The Jon is once again sitting during his break … on his own computer … ready before the ride home on the light rail with drunk Rockies fans on a Friday night racking The Jon’s brain on what to write about. Seeing how these posts were more on actual fantasy baseball with the exception of last night’s epic Ichiro post, The Jon had to think hard.

Anyone who reads The Jon knows thinking isn’t The Jon’s strong suit. Luckily, The Jon is involved in talks for some fantasy deals and needs to replenish rosters from the waiver wire.

And a topic was born. And what’s with the Rockies’ video? Read on and press read more to, well, read more.

The best teams for waiver wire pickups: Rockies

This team top to bottom has the best players available to grab when you need to fill out a roster spot.

Clint Barmes and Ian Stewart seem to be over their platooning nightmare, while Brad Hawpe, Yorvit Torrealba and Willy Taveras can usually be had.

Plus most of their games are high run affairs, so you will get your stats.

Tampa Bay Rays

Everyone on this squad can hit. The main guy here that is a good fill in is Akinori Iwamura., but Dioner Navarro, Gabe Gross, Willy Aybar, Eric Hinske and Billy Zobrist are all hitters in the mid-200s that can get hot for a week due to the team’s high-scoring games … hey give me a break, this is the fifth post this week.

Yankees and Angels

Every single position player on both of these teams can be played and they will produce.

You know this.

The Jon knows this.

Notice the paragraphs to make it seem like this post is longer.

Wow, a short post by yours truly, imagine that. Peace, fools.
